Don't laugh but after six months I finally figured out to easily copy and paste with my Samsung Moment; running the Google Android 1.5 (cupcake) mobile operating system. I only recently became obsessed with figuring this out:
- Tap "Menu"
- Tap "More"
- Tap "Select text"
- Use your touchscreen to highlight text to copy
- Go to an input text box on a web page, text message, email, or other
- In the input text box, hold down your "optical joystick" or press on your touch screen until the "Paste" option is displayed
- Press "Paste"
Pretty simple once you know how. It even allows you to paste from one application to another. For example, you can copy text on a web page and paste it into a text message or email. However, I do not know how to copy text from an email in the GMail application. Ideally, copying text would be as simple as swiping your finger across your touchscreen.
